How to use this guide
How to study for PMI-ACP
Use the PMI-ACP ECO as the map: build agile mindset and leadership judgment, then practice product and delivery scenarios under full-exam pacing.
Identify the value or risk
Name the outcome, uncertainty, stakeholder need, flow problem, or quality concern being tested.
Inspect evidence before acting
Prefer choices that use feedback, metrics, collaboration, or experiments instead of assumptions.
Keep the team empowered
Choose responses that clarify goals, remove barriers, and support team ownership.
Adapt the approach
Tailor the practice to context while preserving agile values, product value, and delivery quality.
Experiment Early, Validate Need, and Create Learning Loops
Mindset questions test using small increments, hypotheses, feedback, and learning environments to validate product and market need early.
Key rules
Rule 1
Test the riskiest assumption with the smallest safe experiment that can change a decision.
Exam cue: Ask which uncertainty threatens value most and which reversible probe can reduce it now.
Rule 2
Define the hypothesis, population, measure, threshold, guardrails, and next decision before gathering evidence.
Exam cue: Distinguish output, stated preference, and behavioral outcome evidence.
Rule 3
Close the learning loop by changing product direction, backlog priority, or the next experiment.
Exam cue: Check whether the experiment protects privacy, safety, compliance, and customer trust.
Common traps
Building the full solution before validating demand or usability.
Prevention: Avoid command-and-control shortcuts, ceremony compliance without outcomes, unbounded WIP, late feedback, and choices that trade away quality, safety, privacy, or required governance.
Changing success criteria after seeing results or using an unrepresentative population.
Prevention: Avoid command-and-control shortcuts, ceremony compliance without outcomes, unbounded WIP, late feedback, and choices that trade away quality, safety, privacy, or required governance.
Calling a disconfirmed hypothesis a failed effort instead of decision-relevant learning.
Prevention: Avoid command-and-control shortcuts, ceremony compliance without outcomes, unbounded WIP, late feedback, and choices that trade away quality, safety, privacy, or required governance.
Memory anchors
Experiment Early
Build a small increment to test an assumption before investing heavily.
Hypothesis
A hypothesis states what the team believes will happen and how it will learn from evidence.
Validation
Validation checks whether a solution, feature, or market need is real enough to continue.
Learning Loop
A learning loop turns feedback into a revised decision, backlog item, or experiment.
Innovation Environment
An innovation environment makes it safe to test ideas, learn, and improve.
Small Increment
A small increment limits risk while exposing real user or stakeholder feedback.
Empirical Evidence
Empirical evidence comes from observed results rather than opinion or status reporting.
Fast Feedback
Fast feedback reduces the time between action, learning, and adaptation.
Concierge Experiment
A concierge experiment delivers the proposed outcome manually to test demand and workflow before automation.
Experiment Guardrail
A guardrail is a harm, quality, privacy, or performance threshold that can stop or constrain a test.
Success Threshold
A success threshold states the meaningful result needed to support the next investment decision.
Feature Flag
A feature flag enables controlled, measurable, and reversible exposure when it is tied to a hypothesis.

FAQ
Common PMI-ACP questions
Is this the official PMI-ACP exam?
No. These are original practice questions aligned to PMI public exam information and the PMI-ACP ECO. They are not copied from secure PMI exam forms.
What domains are tested on the current PMI-ACP?
The current PMI-ACP ECO lists four domains: Mindset at 28%, Leadership at 25%, Product at 19%, and Delivery at 28%.
Why is the mock 120 questions?
PMI states the exam has 120 total items, including 100 scored and 20 unscored pretest items. This site's mock uses 120 original practice questions.
Does the mock include drag-and-drop items?
The bank uses multiple-choice practice while the page explains PMI's public note that the live exam may include multiple-choice, multiple-response, drag-and-drop-style items, and exhibits.
What are the current PMI-ACP eligibility requirements?
PMI's March 2026 ECO requires a secondary diploma or higher, 21 hours of formal agile training, and an eligible experience path. The experience paths include two years of agile experience in the past five years; one year plus a GAC-accredited degree; one year plus a qualifying active third-party agile certification earned more than one year earlier; or an active PMP certification. Confirm your own application against PMI's current wording before applying.
How many times can I take the PMI-ACP exam?
PMI permits up to three attempts during the one-year eligibility period. After three unsuccessful attempts, PMI requires a one-year wait from the date of the last exam before reapplying.
How is the PMI-ACP certification maintained?
PMI lists 30 professional development units, or PDUs, during each three-year certification cycle.
How should I use the 601 questions?
Drill weak domains first, then use weighted mocks to practice agile scenario judgment, value flow, stakeholder collaboration, and delivery tradeoffs under a three-hour pace.
