How to use this guide
How to prepare for MoP Foundation
Secure the model and role boundaries first, then connect strategic selection in the definition cycle with coordinated delivery, governance and benefits.
1. Locate the decision level
Decide whether the issue belongs to the whole portfolio, one programme or project, or business as usual.
2. Identify the strategic objective
Name the objective, mandatory need or portfolio contribution that should govern the decision.
3. Choose definition or delivery
Use definition to change portfolio composition and delivery to govern, enable or adapt execution.
4. Select the exact practice
Follow the decision object: visibility, category, rank, mix, plan, control, benefit, finance, risk, stakeholder, governance or resource.
5. Check role and document
Separate direction, delivery oversight, leadership, coordination and benefit support, then choose the document serving the decision.
6. Test the whole portfolio
Reject an answer that improves one initiative while weakening strategy, capacity, risk balance, BAU or collective value.

Key rules
Rule 1
A portfolio is the totality of an organization's investment, or a segment of it, in the changes required to achieve strategic objectives.
Exam cue: Ask whether the decision concerns one initiative, related initiatives or the organization's total change investment.
Rule 2
Portfolio management coordinates strategic processes and decisions so the organization achieves the best balance of change and business as usual.
Exam cue: Separate choosing the right changes from delivering an individual change correctly.
Rule 3
Projects deliver outputs and programmes coordinate related change for outcomes and benefits; the portfolio selects and balances the collective investment.
Exam cue: Locate the decision level and check the effect on the collective change investment and continuing operations.
Common traps
Treating a portfolio as merely a very large programme.
Prevention: Do not optimize one initiative in isolation when the stem asks for the best portfolio-wide decision.
Excluding BAU capacity and impact from portfolio decisions.
Prevention: Do not optimize one initiative in isolation when the stem asks for the best portfolio-wide decision.

No. The live Foundation product page identifies the exam as closed book. Practitioner is open book, so candidates should follow PeopleCert's current permitted-material and remote-proctoring instructions for that level.
Does this full mock reproduce an official PeopleCert paper?
No. It uses original practice content and mirrors the public Foundation count, timing and single-answer format. It does not reproduce secure questions, PeopleCert's official mock or remote-proctoring conditions.
How long does the certification remain current?
PeopleCert currently says certifications in scope, including PRINCE2 Portfolio Management (MoP), need renewal every three years. Current routes include PeopleCert Plus CPD, passing another certification in the same product suite or retaking the same certification.
