Concept 1
Radar can provide range, bearing, shoreline, buoy and target-motion information but is affected by setup, clutter, shadow sectors, scale and interpretation.

AIS reports transmitted identity and motion data from participating targets; it does not show every hazard and can be delayed, incorrect or absent.
