Continuing professional development maintains the knowledge, skills and behaviours needed for responsible practice and includes identifying gaps, planning development, applying learning and reflecting on impact.
Exam cue: Separate a competence gap that needs development from a decision that needs immediate specialist advice.

Project professionals should recognise the limits of their competence and seek specialist advice or authoritative standards when legal, technical, commercial, safety or ethical judgement requires it.
